The demand for well-educated IT candidates

Egypt is considered as one of the fastest growing outsourcing destinations in the world due to the increasing numbers of students graduating within the fields such as computer science, engineering, medicine and law. Brussels Research Group published an article in the beginning of 2019 regarding Egypts potential.

Each year 50.000 student’s graduate in IT related fields from the universities in Cairo ready to deliver advanced processes and knowledge service. Not only are they well educated within the IT field but they often speak several languages, beside Arabic, due to the fact that they have international schools and universities (British, Canadian, French, French and American). This makes them ideal candidates for working for European and Golf region companies. Besides that, Egypt is on the same time zone as most of Europe and the Golf region which makes the day to day business very easy. From many European cities and the Golf region there are many direct flights. From e.g. Copenhagen to Cairo there are 4 direct flights each week. The flight takes 4,5 hour.

Financially the salary cost in Cairo for high-quality IT personnel is lower compared to the Western European and the Golf region salaries.  When comparing with a headcount onshore the cost savings are around 2/3. Compared to traditional outsourcing destinations in Eastern Europe the cost is also significantly lower. Typically, the price on a comparable service in Eastern Europe and the Golf region is around 50% higher than Cairo – on top of this the cultural readiness and the language skills are typically higher in Cairo.

Together with one of our sales representative you will work out a skills matrix and a business plan based on your company’s need. This will then be presented to our HR team in Cairo and based on all your requirement they will search for the best matching candidates. Our HR team will take each relevant candidate through a technical interview in order to test their technical qualifications. We will also test their ability to communicate in English and check their international experience. And of cause make sure that the candidate has the personality which will fit into your organization. Depending on the complexity of job we normally end up finding 2-3 candidates per job which we believe will be the best match.
