SPECIALIZED IN HR AND
IT OUTSOURCING

We have a solid ballast within HR, both in terms of recruitment and human resource management, and many years of experience with IT outsourcing to destinations like Pakistan, India, Vietnam, Eastern Europe and, last but not least, Cairo. At the same time, we know the challenges facing European businesses in their struggle to make their IT development function well, and create a scalable business. Altogether, this experience has given us the prerequisites for creating what we consider to be the best IT outsourcing concept for European companies.
Our longstanding international HR experience, intercultural insight and our deep knowledge of the Egyptian IT labor pool – and Egyptian culture overall – enable us to find the right candidates for any European company. Simultaneously, we can ensure your company a close and well-functioning collaboration with the Egyptian IT developers -whom we employ according to your selection- to become a natural, integrated part of your development team.

For us, it’s about getting your IT outsourcing to succeed to your absolute satisfaction, and it’s the driving force behind all what we do. That’s why we always go a step further than what you would normally expect, to provide an efficient cooperation and ensure you the maximum benefit from your offshore team.

CrossWorkers
IN Europe

Since the establishment of our company in 2014, so much has been accomplished. In addition to our head office in Copenhagen and production office in Cairo, which is the core of our business, we currently have sales offices in a number of European cities.

EMPLOYEES’ OPINIONS

PASSION BEHIND
THE WORK

It’s a gift to work for CrossWorkers in Cairo, since the Danish leadership is atypically open and understanding, they are also listening to and appreciating employees’ initiatives to introduce improvements. It is clear in the office that it is the passion rather than the duty that underlies our work, and I love it.
Even though we currently recruit 15-20 new IT developers a month to our European customers, the management is very happy and positive every time we enter into a new agreement between a customer and an IT developer. It’s so exciting, and every single time, I feel I’ve accomplished something special.

Generally speaking, Europeans are very easy to talk to, and I highly appreciate that our many European customers are so relaxed and direct in their communication, hence, “what you see is what you get”.

Omnya, Recruitment Manager

Omnya is recruitment manager for CrossWorkers in Cairo.
She has the responsibility for recruiting software developers.

THE LEADERSHIP

MEET CROSSWORKERS’ MANAGEMENT

Hans Henrik Groth

Hans Henrik is CrossWorkers’ CEO and founder. He is at the forefront of the business and headquartered in Copenhagen. His main task is to develop the company, take the lead with CrossWorkers’ values and motivate the global organization. In addition, he is closely involved and engaged with CrossWorkers’ many customers and employees. With a background from previous positions as HR Director and Offshore Manager, Hans Henrik has an in-depth knowledge of the IT outsourcing market. His many years of experience and observations from various outsourcing destinations have given him the belief that Cairo is the optimal outsourcing site, and that CrossWorkers’ simple business model is the ideal method to offer IT outsourcing to European companies.

Fouad Shelbaya

Fouad is a partner in CrossWorkers and head of CrossWorkers’ production office in Cairo. In addition to day-to-day management, he is deeply committed to the further development of CrossWorkers, where he contributes with his longstanding experience in international sales and marketing. Fouad is originally an Egyptian with a natural in-depth knowledge of Egyptian culture and the conditions in Cairo. He has lived in Denmark for many years, speaks Danish fluently and fully understands the European mentality. Therefore – and because of his solid business experience – one of his most important tasks is to incorporate the European and Egyptian cultures in a close cooperation, where we have mutual respect and understanding of each other’s differences.

Osama Hussein

Osama is the Technical Director of CrossWorkers in Egypt and simultaneously is responsible for our service delivery managers, who continuously ensure that our large IT organization thrives and receive the professional feedback they need. Professionally, Osama is an inspirational and important motivator, and chief of all our clients’ IT staff at our production office in Cairo, and he plays an important role with our service delivery managers, in assessing candidates’ professional qualifications in our streamlined recruitment process. Osama has previously worked as technical director in various major international companies, both inside and outside Cairo.

FOUND A PROFICIENT DEVELOPER IN one WEEK

For a start-up company like ours, where it’s about progressing as much as possible with the capital we’ve invested, IT outsourcing is an absolute must. Therefore, when we were about a year old, we chose to enter the market for the best possible offshore solution.

Out of five different suppliers that we considered, we decided quite quickly to choose CrossWorkers, which has been highly recommended to us. One major factor was the price. Egyptian IT developers cost one third of their Danish counterpart, and they are among the cheapest on the market. In addition, it was clear that CrossWorkers was as agile as ourselves, whereas the other players seemed a bit more rigid, and we got the impression that we also had to pay more unjustifiably.

CrossWorkers immediately moved to cover our urgent needs, and managed to find a very good resource for us in Egypt in just one week, without having a comprehensive outsourcing contract signed. Today, we already have three IT developers in place in our well-functioning team in Cairo, and we expect to hire more as our business and needs evolve.

Our Egyptian employees are pleasant and well-mannered people, they have a very high level of competence and their English is really good. The latter is important, because Skype communication is essential when you want to manage a team virtually. I have also been pleased to find that our Cairo developers are actually challenging the solutions they need to develop. It’s something completely different than what I’ve been used to in India, where employees simply nod to what management says. Now we actually get suggestions for new, better solutions and professional, competent feedback from our offshore team.
I perceive CrossWorkers as a very professional company that is flexible, welcoming, responsive and possess some well-functioning processes. Their CTO in Cairo is extremely skilled and also aware of addressing any problems before they develop, and help solve them.

CrossWorkers also facilitated a cultural awareness session with all our employees, and it was a bit of an eye opener for us in terms of culture. We got some good tricks of how to achieve a good cooperation with Egyptians, and a deeper understanding of how they think about their work.
The collaboration is a very positive experience, and we consider CrossWorkers as much more than an outsourcing partner. I would recommend them to other companies at any time.
