NO CULTURAL BARRIERES

We chose to outsource parts of our IT development to CrossWorkers in Cairo for two reasons. First, Cairo is simply cheaper than Eastern Europe, and the future wage level is also more sustainable there. Secondly, from the very start, we were highly attracted to the fact that CrossWorkers’ corporate culture is similar to the way we do business in Denmark. Relaxed, open and at conspicuous level, where we call each other and find a solution right away.

It was great to find a company in Cairo with such a Nordic dimension, and when we paid them a visit, we were positively surprised with the Egyptian culture. The Egyptian developers well attempted to challenge us, say what they meant and ask indiscreet questions. On top of that, the developers we spoke to were very skilled professionals, and we could simply see ourselves working with them.

We started hiring five Egyptian developers with the help of CrossWorkers, who had previously screened the candidates and presented us with eight well-qualified candidates. Since then, our Cairo developers have worked well and dedicated, and they have all fully delivered the quality we expected. In addition, we are experiencing no problems with the cultural aspect. On the contrary, I would say that it works great. CrossWorkers has a great setup in Cairo with a large number of talented local people. It gives extra confidence that there is a Danish leadership behind, even if we trust the local people, and it is good that we do not have to deal with Egyptian law.
